Check that in your contact you only have your number or numbers, not your husband's one. If you upgraded both phones with the same computer, it's likely your husband's account is kept in the new one. Check as well the iMessages in Settings.
I have turned off my facetime already. We both upgraded using WiFi. I'm not sure what you mean by "checking your contact you only have your number or numbers, not your husband's one." What am I looking for in the settings of iMessages. I actually turned it off because it wasn't working anyway.
